About Us

In 1926, the parents of North Oak Cliff created the Rosemont Early Childhood PTA (RECPTA) to support each other and improve our community. One of the organization's primary objectives is to build community and support Rosemont Primary, Elementary and Middle School by volunteering and fundraising for the enrichment of the Arts that otherwise would not be made available to its nearly 1,300 Public School students. We believe that Rosemont is a critical part of our community because our children are our most valuable asset and they need our support.

The performing and visual arts play a vital role in developing students’ capacities for critical thinking, creativity, imagination, and innovation. With your support, we can enrich the educational experiences of these students by offering them opportunities to perform, sing, dance and create, that they would likely not experience outside of their public school education.

Rosemont enriches lives on campus as well as at home, making a direct link from parent involvement at home to volunteering in the schools. Rosemont schools have been recognized by the district for having the greatest percentage of new volunteers, utilization of volunteers and highest ratio of volunteers to students. Not only has Rosemont fostered a sense of community in our neighborhood that connects all families, academically, Rosemont Middle School received the highest rating by TEA with seven distinctions. In addition, the primary and secondary campuses each earned 1 distinction from the TEA.
